Original article: What’s new at Flexera – June 2025
Flexera has released a set of important updates across IT Asset Management, FinOps, SaaS Management, IT Visibility, and Security. These improvements aim to simplify operations, strengthen analytics, and provide more automation for IT and business teams.
In IT Asset Management, the new Flexera Assist chatbot helps users quickly find answers across product documentation directly within Flexera One and Snow Atlas.
In addition, the latest release of Snow Optimizer for SAP (V4.2) brings ready-to-use PowerBI reports for better visualization and analysis of SAP licensing data. Another highlight is the automatic import of SAP contracts, cutting processing time from days to minutes with reduced errors.
For FinOps, anomaly detection has been upgraded from Bollinger Bands to AI/ML-based models, dramatically lowering false positives and improving accuracy. Spot by NetApp customers also benefit from live rightsizing of Kubernetes pods, which no longer requires restarts and ensures resources are continuously optimized. Cost visibility has been expanded with new reports by namespace and workload, as well as a dedicated Savings Sources report showing where optimization is coming from (Spot instances, rightsizing, resource changes). Service providers can now edit bill splitting rules directly in the UI, and Azure EA credits are automatically reflected without manual steps.
SaaS Management received a Universal Connector, allowing organizations to upload custom usage and user data from any SaaS application via CSV. This helps manage the long tail of SaaS tools not covered by native integrations. In addition, integration with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB) now surfaces security risk scores and compliance certifications for SaaS apps, giving IT and security teams more control.
In IT Visibility, users can now view schema details for any dataset, including column names, types, and primary keys, directly in the UI. Full audit logging has been added, making it clear who updated data and when. Finally, error handling during data upload has been improved: datasets with issues are flagged as “Uploaded with Errors,” with a detailed log for quick troubleshooting.
For Security, Software Vulnerability Research (SVR) now supports SSO access to API documentation. This means users can move from the SVR interface to its API reference without needing a separate login, reducing friction and improving security.
These updates continue Flexera’s focus on automation, transparency, and practical value for IT and business stakeholders.
